Cozumel is an island shaped by isolation, where the forest holds species found nowhere else. Explore its jungle, coast and mangroves in search of the Cozumel Vireo, Cozumel Emerald and Cozumel Wren.
With Elvis, the experience goes beyond simply looking for birds — reading the habitat, listening for movement and knowing where the island reveals its hidden life.
Depending on the route, the morning may include stops such as Punta Sur Eco Park and El Cedral, among other spots across the island where we can find other bird specialties such as the Western Spindalis, Caribbean Elaenia, Mangrove Yellow Warbler, White-crowned Pigeon, Caribbean Dove, Yucatán Vireo, Black Catbird and the Yucatán Woodpecker.

Across the wetlands of the Yucatán Peninsula, water, mangroves and open skies create a landscape alive with birdlife. The American Flamingo is one of its defining presences, while the wetlands reveal a constantly changing world of movement, color and sound.
Explore places including Río Lagartos, Las Coloradas, Celestún and Chuburná, as well as the area around Valladolid, depending on the route.
The Yucatán Peninsula expedition also offers a huge variety of species, including some endemics such as the Yucatán Jay, Ocellated Turkey, Rose-throated Tanager, Gray-throated Chat, Black-throated Bobwhite and three Yucatán endemics: the Yucatán Wren, Yucatán Gnatcatcher and Mexican Sheartail.
Explore the night in search of crepuscular species such as the Middle American Screech Owl, Yucatán Poorwill and Yucatán Nightjar.

Birdwatching Expedition to the Lacandona Jungle
Palenque – Na-ha – Lacan-ha
On this multi-days adventure, we will visit several remarkable places, including the Selva Lacandona and Bonampak, where we will look for amazing bird species such as the Green Honeycreeper, Band-backed Wren, Black-crested Coquette, Crimson-collared Tanager, Elegant Euphonia, Lovely Cotinga, Chestnut-headed Oropendola and Green Shrike-Vireo, just to name a few.
This birding experience is designed for those who want more time in the field, the opportunity to explore different habitats and the freedom to enjoy birdwatching at their own pace. It is also a great way to see some of Chiapas’ pristine forest, which offers a great variety of bird species, including some that are not very common or have a very restricted distribution.

Chiapas Quetzal Expedition
March 14–21
The state of Chiapas is located in southeastern Mexico, a privileged place in terms of biodiversity. The variety of ecosystems make a true paradise for birdwatchers and bird photographers. Chiapas is also home of over 700 species of birds, including endemics and migratory species and also sharing many of these birds with Guatemala.
This is an amazing expedition in the search of the majestic Resplendent Quetzal, is an 8 days birding adventure on a very comfortable transport going through the states of Quintana Roo, Campeche and Chiapas. The first day of this adventure, if you start the expedition in Cancún, we will have our longest drive, but we will also make a birding stop around Kohunlich to look for Agami Heron, American Pygmy Kingfisher, Tropical Royal Flycatcher and more. During the expedition we go from lowlands, tropical forest and grasslands to higher mountain elevations, visiting several spots along the road to look for many amazing species. Here is a small list of some of the great birds we can find:
